Day of Giving 2020

What a challenging year! We are painfully aware of the acute needs of our community, but because of the ongoing state regulations we are unable to hold our typical Weekend of Giving that enables us to raise money to help  so many in need. So, we will be having a Day of Giving on September 21st which will include a Golf event and an opportunity for our Members to Give, whether or not you play golf.  We are asking our Members to continue to give to the WCMA knowing that our community needs our support now more than ever!

The Day of Giving 2020:

  1. There will be a golf event on Monday, September 21st, with tee times. The Tin Cup Golf Challenge will be a scramble format with flights for both 18 and 9 holes. There will be food and drink stations on the course along with many surprises and prizes!

  2. We have four corporate partners who have generously agreed to support our Day of Giving. We are very grateful for the support of Wicked Weed Brewing, Walnut Cove Realty, Dillard-Jones, and Fields Auto.

  3. There are different Member Giving Partnership levels. Each level includes two tickets to play in the Tin Cup Golf Challenge. We encourage everyone to become a Member Giving Partner even if you are not playing in the golf tournament. Click here to sign up to be a Member Giving Partner.

    Giving Partner $1,000
    Bronze Partner $2,000

    Silver Partner $3,000

    Gold Partner $5,000

    Platinum Partner $7,500

  4. If you contributed $1,000 or more to the WCMA Emergency Coronavirus Fund, you are already a Member Partner. Please consider giving more, if you can. We also need you to let us know if you plan to use your 2 spots in the Tin Cup Golf Challenge. Email Jane Seaman at Jane  with your plans as soon as possible so we can make sure to save your spot.

Thank you to all our Members that have already said YES to be a Giving Partner. Click Here for a list of 2020 Giving Partners to date.

Jane Seaman, Day of Giving Chair, has put together a short, heartwarming video that clearly illustrates how our donations have impacted those in need. Please take just a few minutes to watch the video to gain an understanding of how important our contribution is to those individuals who have been deeply affected by our grant program.
